Bananal - Its name comes from the stream that crosses the city, Banani, which in the Tupi language means sinuous river. Bananal was the largest producer of coffee in the province of São Paulo, reaching a peak in 1850, and still keeps vestiges of its heyday in secular houses and sumptuous farms of the period. Listed by the Defense Council of Historic, Artistic, Architecture and Tourism Heritage in the State of São Paulo – CONDEPHAAT.
